This year's headlining event - the Last Call Before Fall concert - will feature Rooney on the Union Green on Saturday, August 23th.

2008 Multicultural Orientation and Gathering
The annual Office of Multicultural Affairs Multicultural Orientation & Gathering will take place Thursday, August 21 and Friday, August 22.
The Multicultural Orientation is great way to learn more about FSU campus and opportunity to network with all FSU students. The orientation will take place on Thursday, August 21 at 5:30 p.m. in Miller Hall at the University Center.
The Multicultural Gathering and BBQ will take place on Friday, August 22 on the Union Green from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. This is a great opportunity to enjoy a FREE BBQ lunch and meet FSU students, faculty, and administrators. The Multicultural Showcase will immediately follow the lunch at 2:00 p.m. in the Moore Auditorium at the Oglesby Union.
Diversity Leadership Mentoring Program
The purpose of the Diversity Leadership Mentoring Program (DLMP) is to create inclusive leadership opportunities for students from a broad spectrum of demographic and philosophical differences, to develop their knowledge of leadership and enhance their ability to demonstrate leadership skills. The FSU DLMP process provides undergraduate and graduate students mentoring opportunities with alumni, faculty, staff or graduate students. FSU ranks in undergraduate degrees awarded to African-American and Hispanic students
In 2007, Diverse Issues in Higher Education ranked Florida State University as one of the top universities in the nation producing minority graduates. FSU ranks 5th in bachelors degrees awarded to African American undergraduates and is the top producer in the nation of African-American baccalaureates among doctoral universities.
In 2008, The Hispanic Outlook in Higher Education's rankings of the top 100 Colleges for Hispanics ranked FSU 29th in the nation in bachelor's degrees and 61 in master's degrees awarded to Hispanics. In addition, FSU was ranked 40th in the nation in colleges enrolling the most Hispanic students.
New Support Group for First Generation Students
Are you trying to adjust from from being away from family and friends? Are you experiencing academic & familial pressures? Interested in building your self-confidence? The OMA provides small co-sponsorship funds to FSU registered student organizations that coordinate programs which celebrate diversity, multiculturalism, and social justice. Funds are limited and are distributed at the discretion of the OMA staff. If your organization is interested, please complete the following form and drop it by our office in A211 Oglesby Union.
