Multicultural Gathering and Cookout (August 22, 2008)
This activity gives first year students an opportunity to meet the people and organizations available to them during their career at FSU. In addition, the Gathering provides a flavor of the multicultural atmosphere on the Florida State campus.
Hispanic Heritage Month

The festivities abound during the annual celebration of Hispanic and Latino/a heritage.
Native American Awareness Month Kickoff Reception (November)
The beginning of a month-long celebration of the Native American culture.
Martin Luther King, Jr. Book Stipend (January)
A book stipend is given in the name of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and in the memory of Bobby E. Leach, the University's first African-American vice president. Applications are available NOW! Please click on the link above.
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemorative Celebration (Janurary)
The official holiday, on the third Monday in January, is a powerful tribute to Dr. King's philosophy and principles.
Black History Month (February)
A celebration and acknowledgment of the contributions that African-Americans have made to this country.
Asian-American Heritage Month (March)
A month-long celebration of the Asian culture in America. Join students from ASU to learn about new cultures.
Multicultural Leadership Summit (Spring 2009)
A chance for students to gain exposure to different leadership styles; acquire information about how race, ethnicity, and culture impacts the leadership process; and how to utilize the week's experience in larger society relating to student leadership development and empowerment.
